The General Entertainment Authority will stage a series of aerial and naval demonstrations together with fireworks to celebrate the 95th Saudi National Day, the Saudi Press Agency reported. Advisor Turki bin Abdulmohsen Alalshikh, chairman of the authority, detailed the program that spans all regions of the Kingdom and involves multiple government agencies. Cities will be adorned with the colors of aerobatic aircraft while naval vessels perform along the coasts as part of coordinated events that also feature a land parade with military vehicles, equipment and a marching band. The displays are scheduled to unfold on September 23 as the centerpiece of nationwide observances.

Several entities are contributing to the displays according to the announcement from the authority. These include the Presidency of the Royal Guard, the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of the National Guard and the General Authority of Civil Aviation along with Matarat Holding Company. National airlines such as Saudia, Flyadeal and Riyadh Air will support the aerial components while the Saudi Broadcasting Authority transmits the main celebration live on its channel. The Saudi Air Navigation Services and the Helicopter Company round out the list of partners.

Fireworks will launch simultaneously at 9 p.m. on September 23 in 14 cities, lighting up landmarks from Riyadh’s Banban historic area to Dammam’s waterfront and Jeddah’s Art Promenade and Yacht Club, a General Entertainment Authority statement indicated. Additional sites encompass Medina’s King Fahd Central Park, Hail’s Peace Park, Abha’s Al-Mutlaq Park and locations in Najran, Taif, Tabuk, Buraidah, Jazan, Al-Baha, Arar and Sakaka with the Najran show set for the following evening. Each display will last approximately seven minutes and create coordinated visual tributes that reflect the national occasion.

Aerial performances will showcase Royal Saudi Air Force jets including Typhoons, F-15s and Tornados executing formations in various cities, an element that has featured prominently in recent National Day observances according to Ministry of Defense records. Naval shows will involve frigates, patrol boats and marine commandos conducting maneuvers and mock operations in coastal zones such as Jeddah and Jubail. The Saudi Press Agency noted that these activities will combine military precision with public engagement across both eastern and western fleets.

Saudi National Day on September 23 commemorates the 1932 unification of the Kingdom by King Abdulaziz, an event that established the modern state according to official Saudi historical accounts. This year’s theme emphasizes heritage and environmental pride, aligning the celebrations with broader national identity initiatives spelled out by the General Entertainment Authority. The slogan “Our Pride is in Our Nature” highlights values of generosity, authenticity and ambition that define Saudi society.

Similar programs in prior years including the 93rd National Day drew large crowds to public spaces and received live coverage as documented by Arab News. This year’s program expands the fireworks to more cities for broader participation across the Kingdom. Coordination among the involved bodies ensures safety while delivering a mix of traditional and contemporary elements to residents and visitors alike.
