The meeting highlighted the deep historical bonds between Bahrain and Saudi Arabia that continue to evolve into broader partnership across multiple sectors according to a statement published on the official website of Bahrain’s Crown Prince. Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa stressed that these relations rest on firm foundations and receive full backing from King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to advance mutual aspirations. He also noted the role of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in reinforcing the connection for the benefit of both countries while affirming Bahrain’s dedication to joint work especially in energy and industrial fields to generate new opportunities.

Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa described Saudi Arabia’s security as inseparable from Bahrain’s own and voiced complete solidarity with measures Riyadh takes to safeguard its sovereignty and citizens the Crown Prince’s office reported. Discussions during the session at Riffa Palace covered ways to promote multisectoral collaboration along with various shared concerns. For his part Saudi Minister of Energy and Industry Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman thanked his host for the ongoing support of bilateral relations across domains and extended wishes for Bahrain’s continued development.

The gathering formed part of a wider visit by the Saudi delegation that included Minister of Commerce Majid bin Abdullah Al-Qasabi and Ambassador to Bahrain Naif bin Bandar Al-Sudairi as carried by multiple regional outlets. It coincided with the opening of the Made in GCC 2026 Forum and Exhibition which Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa inaugurated the same day at Exhibition World Bahrain according to the Crown Prince’s official account. The event seeks to display Gulf industrial strengths attract investment and foster supply chain links among member states.

Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry figures show that trade between Bahrain and Saudi Arabia totalled $3.93 billion in 2025 forming a major share of the island nation’s Gulf commerce. United Nations COMTRADE data compiled by Trading Economics places Saudi exports to Bahrain at $2.86 billion for the same period with fuels ships and dairy products leading the list. These flows underscore the economic interdependence that the October 6 talks aimed to expand through closer alignment in industry and energy policy.

The forum runs alongside meetings of GCC committees on industrial and commercial cooperation chaired by Bahrain this year and draws participants from across the bloc to address smart manufacturing sustainability and workforce development. Bahrain’s Ministry of Industry and Commerce has positioned the gathering as a platform to cement a unified Made in GCC identity and improve access for Gulf products in global markets. Such initiatives build on longstanding coordination that has intensified since the launch of regional economic diversification programmes.

Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa additionally launched panel sessions at the forum that examined the intersection of energy and industry transformations with their effects on competitiveness and growth the official Bahraini statement detailed. Participants reviewed innovation technology and sustainability as drivers for advanced manufacturing capabilities within the GCC. The combined engagements reflect sustained momentum in bilateral and regional efforts to integrate industrial bases and enhance resilience against external supply disruptions.
