Ammon News reported that Jordanian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ayman Safadi placed a call on Sunday to Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan. During the conversation Safadi affirmed Jordan’s absolute solidarity with Saudi Arabia while condemning attacks on two of the kingdom’s international airports. The Jordanian minister stressed his country’s full support for all measures Saudi Arabia takes to safeguard its security and stability.
The outreach reflects a series of similar diplomatic contacts in recent days. Omani Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi condemned the attacks in a separate phone call with Prince Faisal, Arab News reported. Bahrain’s and Britain’s foreign ministers also contacted the Saudi prince to reaffirm solidarity with the kingdom.
Jordan’s King Abdullah II spoke with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman regarding the same incidents. The monarch reiterated Jordan’s condemnation of the attacks and its full solidarity with Saudi Arabia along with support for its people, according to the Royal Hashemite Court. These exchanges highlight the close security coordination between the two countries.
The foreign ministers’ discussion also covered the deep bilateral ties between Jordan and Saudi Arabia. Both officials noted the fraternal relations that have long defined interactions between Amman and Riyadh. The conversation underscored ongoing collaboration on shared regional priorities.
Prince Faisal has previously described Islamic cooperation and solidarity as an urgent need. In an address published by Asharq Al-Awsat on August 27 the Saudi minister stated that the Organization of Islamic Cooperation’s strength depends on unity among member states and their ability to translate shared values into action. The recent calls align with that emphasis on collective responses to threats.
Multiple partners have issued parallel statements backing Saudi Arabia’s defensive rights. The coordinated diplomatic messages follow Houthi actions that targeted civilian aviation facilities. Officials across the region continue to monitor developments closely.
