The Saudi Press Agency reported that Abdullah Alswaha’s meetings on the first day of his Silicon Valley visit centered on attracting high-value investments in artificial intelligence and deep technologies while supporting the expansion of Saudi startups into global markets. Discussions with Co-Founder and General Partner at Andreessen Horowitz Ben Horowitz addressed increasing the firm’s footprint in the Kingdom and linking its portfolio companies to computing resources managed by HUMAIN. The talks also explored opportunities for Saudi firms to access international networks through these connections.

According to the Saudi Press Agency, Alswaha held a parallel session with Partner at Sequoia Capital Alfred Lin focused on scaling investments in Saudi AI ventures and deep-tech enterprises. The conversation highlighted the role of HUMAIN in providing advanced computing capabilities to international portfolio companies entering the region. Both meetings underscored efforts to position Saudi Arabia as a hub for innovation and collaborative technology development.

Alswaha additionally engaged with CEO and Co-Founder of TenX Semi Dr. Suk Hwan Lim on the application of AI agents for chip design, verification processes and autonomous technologies. These exchanges examined ways to shorten development timelines and foster semiconductor capabilities within the Kingdom. The discussion forms part of a wider initiative to build domestic expertise in advanced hardware essential for AI systems.

HUMAIN announced in a May 2025 statement a strategic partnership with NVIDIA to develop AI factories reaching up to 500 megawatts of capacity over five years powered by hundreds of thousands of the company’s advanced GPUs. The initial phase deploys an 18,000-GPU GB300 Grace Blackwell supercomputer supported by InfiniBand networking. A HUMAIN press release described the infrastructure as enabling sovereign AI model training for government and enterprise users across Saudi Arabia and beyond.

In a separate May 2025 announcement distributed via its corporate channels, Amazon Web Services and HUMAIN outlined plans for a joint investment exceeding $5 billion to establish an AI Zone in the Kingdom. The collaboration encompasses AI infrastructure development, cloud services deployment and programs for talent development and startup support. Amazon separately committed $5.3 billion to launch an AWS infrastructure region in Saudi Arabia scheduled to go online in 2026.

HUMAIN, established by the Public Investment Fund as Saudi Arabia’s national AI champion, has pursued multiple global alliances to advance the Kingdom’s objectives under Vision 2030. Earlier statements from the minister have described AI as essential national infrastructure comparable to electricity or the internet. These cumulative partnerships with leading technology providers aim to accelerate digital transformation across key economic sectors.
