The policy sets a total stay limit of 90 days across all visits and bars use of the visa during the Hajj season entirely. According to the ministry, package durations must not exceed any remaining days available under the overall cap.
Pilgrims must secure a service package from accredited providers listed on the Nusuk platform ahead of each visit, the ministry reported. An Umrah permit then has to be obtained through the Nusuk application before every entry, with the permit dates matching the chosen package and satisfying all entry conditions. The ministry’s instructions specify that failure to complete these steps will prevent activation of the visa for that trip.
Once a pilgrim departs the kingdom the visa is automatically suspended until requirements for the next visit are met, according to the ministry announcement. Any unused days from the 90-day total are carried forward for subsequent trips within the 365-day window. The ministry’s guidance emphasizes that this mechanism provides structured flexibility while maintaining regulatory oversight of pilgrim flows.
The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah FAQ published on its official portal confirms that Umrah visas may be issued more than once in a single year under the updated framework. This provision aligns with the launch of the new Umrah season on May 31, 2026, when visa issuance began for the 1448 AH cycle, a Gulf News report drawn from ministry statements noted. Final issuance for that season is scheduled to close on March 9, 2027.
Applications for the multiple-entry visa are processed through the Nusuk platform and associated accredited channels operated by the ministry.
