The Global Future Projects Forum and Exhibition will bring together project owners, contractors and stakeholders from public and private sectors at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center under the theme Building the Future Together, the organizers said on the event’s official website. The four-day event will allow contractors to explore details of upcoming projects, understand owner requirements and learn application processes for participation in Saudi Arabia’s massive infrastructure drive. More than 15,000 attendees are expected to participate in the gathering that also includes a festival to showcase Saudi student talents in the construction sector.
According to the forum’s published figures, the event will involve 214 participating entities and cover projects with an estimated total value exceeding $3 trillion. This scale reflects the breadth of Saudi Vision 2030 realization programs that have transformed the construction landscape since the strategy’s launch in 2016. The forum serves as a platform to foster local and international partnerships essential for delivering the giga-projects that form the cornerstone of the national transformation plan.
Saudi Arabia’s construction market stands at the center of this transformation with active developments valued at $1.5 trillion, a Versatile International industry report found. The Kingdom leads the MENA region in project value, accounting for almost 40 percent of the total, the assessment noted. Artificial intelligence integration has emerged as a key trend, with 57 percent of professionals identifying it as the most significant factor reshaping project management.
Among the flagship initiatives are NEOM, the $500 billion futuristic city, the Red Sea Project and Qiddiya entertainment city, all progressing under the Vision 2030 framework, according to multiple sector assessments. These developments aim to diversify the economy, boost non-oil GDP and create new opportunities in tourism, entertainment and technology sectors. A national report on urban development placed foreign direct investment inflows at 80 billion SAR in 2024, underscoring international interest in the Kingdom’s growth trajectory.
The Saudi Authority for Contractors has emphasized the forum’s role in enhancing transparency and enabling strategic partnerships for contractors and investors. Previous editions have contributed to the execution of major projects that support the goal of sustainable economic growth. The upcoming December gathering will also feature platforms to connect global expertise with local execution capabilities.
Housing and urban development projects have gained momentum with new agreements signed with international partners, including Chinese firms for smart-city technologies, the Ministry of Municipalities and Housing reported. Such collaborations align with the broader objective of building inclusive, resilient cities as outlined in Saudi Arabia’s commitments to global urban agendas. The combined efforts position the Kingdom as a leader in large-scale urban transformation.
