The Saudi Press Agency reported that Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman received UAE Vice President Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan in Riyadh on Tuesday for discussions that covered the strong fraternal relations between the Kingdom and the United Arab Emirates along with the latest regional and international developments. Sheikh Mansour conveyed the greetings of UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to the Crown Prince during the meeting, which the Crown Prince reciprocated by sending his own greetings to the UAE president. Saudi Defense Minister Prince Khalid bin Salman attended the session, which built on an invitation he had extended the previous day for the UAE vice president to make the trip. The two sides examined opportunities to further develop cooperation across multiple fields in ways that serve the interests of both countries and their peoples.

According to the Emirates News Agency, Sheikh Mansour arrived in Riyadh on Tuesday for the fraternal visit and was received at King Khalid International Airport by Prince Khalid bin Salman. The UAE vice president was accompanied by a delegation that included Ali bin Hammad Al Shamsi, Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for National Security, along with other senior officials from various government entities. The visit represents the first such high-level face-to-face talks since December, as noted in regional coverage of the thaw in relations between the two neighbors.

The Saudi Press Agency has previously detailed how the Saudi-UAE Coordination Council, formed in 2016 under the direction of the leadership of both countries, has worked to deepen integration in economic, security and developmental areas. This framework has facilitated numerous joint initiatives that align with the Vision 2030 program in the Kingdom and parallel development strategies in the UAE. Officials from both sides have consistently emphasized the importance of such coordination in addressing shared challenges and enhancing prosperity for their citizens.

Reuters reported that Prince Khalid bin Salman invited Sheikh Mansour for the visit amid ongoing regional pressures, including Houthi attacks on Saudi targets that have intensified in recent months. The UAE state news agency confirmed that Sheikh Mansour accepted the invitation for what it described as a brotherly trip focused on strengthening ties. The meeting occurs against the backdrop of recent public gestures of unity between Saudi and Emirati officials that surfaced in July through social media posts highlighting friendship and collaboration.

Emirates News Agency coverage indicated that the discussions between Sheikh Mansour and Prince Khalid bin Salman touched on ways to advance bilateral relations in fields ranging from defense to economic partnership. The delegation accompanying the UAE vice president also featured Dr. Nasser Humaid Al Nuaimi and additional experts positioned to support technical aspects of the talks. Such engagements have become a regular feature of the two countries’ efforts to maintain close alignment on matters of mutual concern.

The Saudi Press Agency has documented multiple prior high-level exchanges between Saudi and UAE leaders that produced agreements on investment, security cooperation and policy coordination across the Gulf. These interactions have helped sustain one of the region’s most robust partnerships, with regular consultations on issues affecting stability in the broader Middle East. The latest meeting adds to this pattern of engagement that underscores the depth of ties between Riyadh and Abu Dhabi.
