The Saudi Foreign Ministry said Prince Faisal bin Farhan reviewed bilateral relations and ways to strengthen them in various fields during his meeting with Ayman Safadi. The two ministers exchanged views on latest regional developments with particular attention to conditions in the West Bank and Gaza Strip. Prince Faisal called on the international community to take practical steps to stop violations there and support de-escalation efforts according to the ministry statement.

In a separate meeting the Saudi Foreign Ministry reported that Prince Faisal and Fuad Hussein discussed recent regional developments along with the depth of relations between Saudi Arabia and Iraq. The ministers stressed the importance of supporting efforts to strengthen Iraq’s interests and its ties with Arab and Islamic countries. Hussein affirmed that Iraqi territory and capabilities would not be used for aggression against neighbors a stance the ministry described as contributing to regional development and stability.

The discussions occurred on the sidelines of the Ministerial Meeting on Jerusalem and its Holy Sites hosted by Jordan which gathers foreign ministers from Arab League member states and Islamic countries. Jordanian officials have presented the conference as a platform to coordinate a unified position on the deteriorating situation in occupied Jerusalem and Palestinian territories according to reports from the Jordanian news agency Petra. This gathering aligns with a series of similar high-level sessions held in recent years to address ongoing regional tensions.

Saudi Arabia has maintained close diplomatic coordination with both Jordan and Iraq through regular bilateral and trilateral engagements that have covered economic cooperation and security matters. The Gulf Cooperation Council has noted in past assessments that such meetings help promote stability across the broader region amid persistent challenges. The Amman talks add to frequent contacts among the three nations aimed at aligning approaches to shared concerns.

Additional meetings took place on the margins of the Jerusalem conference with other participating ministers to expand discussions on de-escalation and humanitarian issues. The Saudi Foreign Ministry has repeatedly emphasized the need for comprehensive solutions respecting international law and ensuring security for all parties involved. Jordanian accounts indicate that participants also held talks with King Abdullah II during the visit to review outcomes from the sessions.
