The Ministry of Interior reported that Absher Individuals and Absher Business platforms together completed the transactions between January and June this year. Earlier Ministry of Interior data placed the full-year total for 2025 at more than 448 million transactions, with 417 million processed through the individuals portal and nearly 31 million via the business platform. The ministry has consistently highlighted how the unified digital identities issued through Absher allow citizens, residents and visitors to access services across multiple government platforms without repeated in-person visits.
A presentation by the Ministry of Interior at the LEAP 2026 conference in Riyadh on Tuesday noted that the related Nafath national digital identity platform serves more than 32 million beneficiaries. The Nafath system links to 1,245 platforms and has facilitated more than 6.5 billion transactions according to the ministry’s exhibit. Assistant Minister of Interior for Technology Affairs Thamer Alharbi told conference attendees that these digital tools form part of an integrated approach combining artificial intelligence with security and public services.
Monthly transaction volumes published by the Ministry of Interior in recent periods have ranged between 43 million and 51 million. The May 2026 figure stood at 43.7 million transactions while June reached 48.9 million and July exceeded 50.8 million. These periodic updates from the ministry illustrate steady uptake of services such as digital document viewing, which regularly accounts for the largest share of activity on the individuals platform.
The Ministry of Interior has positioned Absher as a core component of its digital transformation strategy. In its 2025 annual summary the ministry stated that the platform improves spending efficiency, reduces physical visits to government offices and maximises resource utilisation across security sectors. Transactions span passport services, traffic violations, civil status documentation and business licensing among other functions.
Alharbi emphasised during the LEAP 2026 event that the ministry’s technology initiatives aim to deliver reliable security alongside humanitarian and public safety services. The assistant minister pointed to tools such as Absher Companion, which the ministry said has completed more than 348,000 transactions with a 96 percent success rate. Such developments build on the foundational role Absher has played since its launch in expanding remote access to interior ministry services.
Public adoption of the platform has grown alongside the introduction of the Nafath authentication system. The Ministry of Interior has reported that unified digital identities now enable seamless logins not only to Absher but also to broader government and private sector services. This interoperability has contributed to the sustained increase in transaction numbers observed in the ministry’s periodic statistical releases.
