The Ministry of Education detailed procedures for its electronic transfer platform that allows parents to submit requests for moving students between public schools through a fully online process. Guardians log into the ministry services portal via the unified login or National Unified Access system, select the relevant children, identify preferred new schools and complete the digital form. The application then reaches the appropriate education administration department, which verifies vacancies and issues formal approval, according to the ministry.

This rollout occurs as public schools prepare for the return of students on August 23, aligning with the start of the new academic year across Saudi Arabia. The ministry said the service supports social and psychological well-being by helping families secure places closer to their residences. Such measures reduce administrative hurdles during the busy pre-school period.

The Ministry of Education has operated the core electronic service since September 2013 through the Noor system, its official portal shows. Parents must ensure the student is registered in Noor, assigned to a class and linked to a primary guardian before initiating any request. No documents are required for submission under standard conditions, the ministry guidelines state.

Once filed, the target school leader reviews and confirms the transfer while closing the prior enrollment record, with the ministry service level agreement placing response times at three working days. Users needing assistance can reach technical support through established ministry channels. The platform bases all approvals strictly on available vacancies at the chosen institution.

A 2023 ministry media center release noted that the department had digitized student transactions at all academic levels following global achievements in digital transformation. The transfer tool forms part of that continued expansion of e-services for general education. Integration with national access systems further simplifies procedures for both citizens and residents.

Education administrations nationwide will process these digital requests in line with approved regulations as demand rises ahead of the academic calendar. The Ministry of Education maintains the system to handle transfers efficiently without requiring physical presence at schools or offices. Full instructions remain available on the official portal for parents preparing applications.
