The Real Estate Registration Authority is accepting applications for the initial registration of 1,491 properties spread across three regions of Saudi Arabia. In the Riyadh region the properties are located in Afif Governorate as well as the Al Rabiyah and open area districts of Rumah Governorate according to the authority. The authority’s announcement specified the locations in the Makkah region as the Umm Al Rasf, Al Qarahin and Umm Al Arad neighborhoods in Taif Governorate plus Umluj Governorate and those in the Tabuk region as Umluj.

Property owners are required to complete the registration by Oct. 22, 2026, according to the authority. The process can be completed via the official registration portal, the corresponding mobile application or the dedicated customer service hotline. The authority has emphasized that timely registration allows owners to secure formal title deeds while non-compliance may carry penalties under the governing regulations.

This registration drive is conducted under a decision from the Council of Ministers and in line with the Real Estate Title Registration Law the authority reported. The Real Estate Registration Authority commonly referred to as REGA has been tasked with overseeing the initiative across the Kingdom. The system is designed to integrate the properties into a national database that assigns unique property numbers and issues official title deeds.

The authority’s announcement detailed that the move expands coverage of the real estate registry to additional areas and properties. By bringing these 1,491 parcels into the formal system REGA advances the creation of a comprehensive national record. The registry’s rollout supports improved transparency and clearer ownership documentation for all participants.

REGA continues to direct owners to utilize the available registration tools to meet the upcoming deadline. The authority’s oversight ensures that successful registrations contribute directly to the centralized database. Officials have framed the process as an essential step for properties in the designated governorates that have not yet been formally recorded.

The Real Estate Title Registration Law provides the legal foundation for assigning unique identifiers and deeds once applications are approved the authority stated. Previous phases of the registry have followed similar procedures in other parts of the country according to REGA updates. This latest expansion targets specific districts where initial registration is now required to maintain regulatory compliance.
