The National Cybersecurity Authority released its report on Key Economic Indicators in the Cybersecurity Sector 2026 on October 14 detailing how the Saudi market for cybersecurity products and services reached SR16.3 billion in 2025. The authority’s figures show the market achieved a compound annual growth rate of 10.7 percent between 2023 and 2025 as both public and private entities increased their investments in digital protection measures. This latest assessment builds on the authority’s prior analysis that placed the 2024 market at SR15.2 billion according to data from the preceding edition of the study.

Government entities directed SR5.1 billion toward cybersecurity products and services in 2025 representing 31 percent of total market spending the NCA report stated. Private sector outlays totaled SR11.2 billion or 69 percent of the overall figure during the same period. The National Cybersecurity Authority compiled these statistics through collaboration with specialized consulting firms public and private stakeholders academic institutions and sector experts following global best practices.

The cybersecurity sector contributed SR20 billion to Saudi Arabia’s gross domestic product at current prices in 2025 the authority’s assessment found. That contribution reflected a 13.2 percent compound annual growth rate over the two prior years with direct input from product and service providers amounting to SR9.7 billion. Indirect contributions added SR10.3 billion and the total represented 0.42 percent of overall GDP together with 0.71 percent of non-oil economic activity according to NCA data.

Saudi Arabia’s cybersecurity workforce exceeded 22,000 professionals in 2025 the National Cybersecurity Authority reported recording a 5.9 percent compound annual growth rate since 2023. Women accounted for 33 percent of that workforce exceeding the global average of approximately 22 percent cited in the same study. The authority linked the expansion in specialized personnel to targeted training programs designed to meet requirements across vital economic sectors.

Spending on cybersecurity products reached SR8.3 billion or 51 percent of the market total in 2025 NCA figures show while services attracted SR7.9 billion for the remaining 49 percent. The report classified products and services across multiple levels encompassing five main categories 25 detailed activities and 100 specific offerings. These categories include endpoint device security network protection data safeguards and security operations solutions the authority’s breakdown indicated.

The National Cybersecurity Authority attributed the sustained expansion to initiatives that promote investment innovation and closer public-private collaboration across the cybersecurity ecosystem. The 2026 report was prepared to provide granular insights that support entrepreneurs investors and policymakers in further developing the sector. Such data collection efforts form part of the authority’s mandate to strengthen both the security and developmental dimensions of Saudi Arabia’s cybersecurity landscape at local and international levels.
