The Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources reported that financing provided by fintech companies to industrial projects reached SR541 million during the first half of 2026. This represents a 130 percent rise from SR234 million recorded in the corresponding period of 2025. The ministry attributed the growth to strategic partnerships and targeted initiatives aimed at addressing financing challenges for industrial establishments.
Seven fintech firms collaborated with the ministry in the period, up from three a year earlier, according to the ministry. The partners include Tameed, Tamra Capital, Lendo and Sukuk Capital along with others such as Dinar and Yanal. These collaborations offer flexible credit solutions such as working capital financing, invoice financing and project expansion funding to support production continuity and operational growth.
In its announcement, the ministry detailed how it organized executive workshops for industrial entrepreneurs and investors to raise awareness of fintech financing tools. The authority has also expanded its network of partnerships with fintech providers while improving the sharing of industrial data to better match financing offerings with sector needs. Continuous monitoring of industrial financing requirements has further guided these efforts, the ministry said.
Earlier ministry figures reported by Arab News placed full-year industrial lending through such partnerships at more than SR774 million in 2025, marking a 36 percent increase over the prior year. This trajectory shows sustained momentum in integrating fintech into the industrial ecosystem. The 2026 first-half performance already approaches three-quarters of the previous annual total.
The wider Saudi fintech landscape has expanded rapidly, with Fintech Saudi data showing more than 300 operating companies by the end of 2025. That total reflects a thirtyfold increase over seven years from just 10 firms in 2018. The sector has surpassed interim targets set under national development plans, according to the initiative backed by the Saudi Central Bank.
These developments align with objectives to bolster the industrial sector as a pillar of economic diversification under Saudi Vision 2030. The ministry continues to invite industrial companies to engage with its platform for customized fintech solutions that enhance liquidity and stimulate expansion. Such measures support long-term sustainability across manufacturing activities, the ministry stated.
