The statement stressed that all phases must unfold within a defined timetable in a credible, final and irreversible manner with full coordination among regional and international partners. Saudi Arabia underscored the necessity of complete Israeli forces withdrawal from the Gaza Strip together with deployment of the international stabilization force. The ministry called for uninterrupted delivery of humanitarian assistance coupled with reconstruction support for the Palestinian population. These steps form core elements of the Trump 20-point plan that Resolution 2803 incorporated, according to a Council on Foreign Relations guide to the agreement.
The foreign ministry stated that return of the Palestinian Authority to Gaza and preservation of unity across occupied Palestinian territories remain essential under the terms of Resolution 2803. Such measures would prove vital to achieving lasting peace and stability throughout the area. Saudi Arabia participates as a founding member of the Board of Peace established by the resolution, the BBC reported in its coverage of the latest developments.
The agreement should function as the starting point for a comprehensive political process that leads to full execution of the peace plan, the ministry stressed. This process must secure the Palestinian people’s inalienable rights with self-determination and establishment of an independent state at the forefront. It would also enable peaceful coexistence between the State of Palestine and Israel grounded in mutual recognition according to the statement.
A just and lasting peace across the region can emerge solely through a comprehensive political settlement that ends the conflict and builds foundations for security, stability and shared prosperity, the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs concluded.
