The Ministry of Commerce has issued a recall notice for 109 units of the Aston Martin DBX and DBX707 sport utility vehicles produced between 2021 and 2026. The defect concerns mounting bolts in the rear suspension system that could damage the lower rear suspension arm. This issue increases the likelihood of drivers losing control of the vehicle and raises the risk of a crash, according to the ministry.

Owners of the affected SUVs are instructed to check their vehicle identification numbers using the official Recalls.sa website to see if their specific car falls within the campaign. Those whose vehicles are included must then reach out to the local distributor Al Haj Hussain Ali Reza Co to arrange an inspection and repair. The work will be carried out free of charge at authorized service centers, the ministry said.

This local measure forms part of an international recall effort by the British luxury carmaker. Aston Martin The Americas notified the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration of a similar problem impacting nearly 4,000 DBX models in the United States. The company has indicated that the total number of affected vehicles worldwide could exceed 5,000 based on production records reviewed in the recall filing.

The underlying fault involves a pin for the torque reaction link that may slide out of its position within the rear lower suspension arm. Such displacement can cause the arm casting to crack or shear entirely and may also damage associated brake lines. These failures can lead to sudden loss of steering control and reduced braking performance, an NHTSA assessment found.

In response, Aston Martin will have technicians inspect all lower rear suspension arms for existing cracks. Where damage is detected the affected components along with the torque reaction link bolts will be replaced at no cost to the customer. One crash has been linked to this defect so far, according to a report by Carscoops.

The recall adds to a history of suspension-related campaigns from the manufacturer. In 2010 the company recalled multiple models from the 2007 and 2008 model years for a front suspension bolt that could crack, according to Motor Authority. Customers in Saudi Arabia are encouraged to complete the recall service promptly to ensure their vehicles meet all safety standards.
